Withstood the pressure of Norris and Verstappen returned to winning!

by

Back to winning ways with stress for him Max Verstappenat the seventh Grand Prix of the season in her championship Formula 1!

Having settled for second place two weeks ago in Miami, her Dutch pilot Red Bull started from pole position in Imola and maintained the lead throughout the race, managing to withstand the intense pressure exerted on him by Lando Norris in the final laps and celebrating his fifth win this year!

A very good effort by the still outstanding Briton, who started from third place coming from his great first in the USA and finished just 7 tenths of a second behind the winner, while the home team Ferrari also took the podium, with his third place Charles Leclerc.

A very good start for Verstappen, who remained in the lead without being threatened after the start, while Norris and Leclerc were behind him and Saint completed the top four.

As time went on the Dutch world champion increased his gap to Norris and managed the race unerringly, with interest focusing on the McLaren driver’s battle with Leclerc for second place. In turn, the Monegasque had taken a safety margin from Saint’s teammate.

Norris stayed ahead of Leclerc, who made some mistakes while pushing, while entering the final laps he picked up the pace, reducing his gap to Verstappen to under two seconds with 6 laps to go.

Their battle was enjoyable until the checkered flag, which the Red Bull driver saw first, with Norris finishing just 7 tenths behind him, ahead of Leclerc. Piastri, Saint, Hamilton, Russell, Perez, Stroll and Tsunoda completed the top ten, with the next race scheduled to take place in a week (May 24-26), at Monaco!
