Buffett: “The demand for Final 4 tickets is huge – We have upset fans, friends and family”

by

THE Christos Buffets was at the Klisto of Ano Liosion to closely watch the final between Panionios and Heraklis, in the battle of the two teams for promotion to the Stoiximan Basket League.

THE Sports Director of KAE Olympiacos spoke to Action 24 and referred to, among others, huge demand there was from the team’s friends for the tickets

In detail what Christos Bafes said:

For the Final Four with fans of all teams and the Elite League: “It’s really a very beautiful image and it’s important for basketball that we continue to see this image until the end of the game and may the best man win. They are two historic teams, just like Milonas who got the first ticket for the Basket League. Congratulations on winning the championship.

The most important thing is that we see that matches can be held with fans of both teams, as long as there is a will from everyone. Basketball should be played in full courts.

We have no preference or prediction. We came here to see the celebration and we hope it will be a celebration. May the best win and see a good game. Let me just say that this category, A2, is a category that deserves more attention from all of us, because good players play and nice games are played. People should go see the games.

Can A2 produce players, if we all change our way of thinking a bit and start letting the kids, the young kids play. Because what young children want are toys and I think that through A2 they will get these toys. Because this is how Greek basketball was created. In previous years, A2 was the nursery for the major category and it must continue to be so.”

On whether Olympiacos is ready for Berlin: “Today we have a day off. From tomorrow we work at the pace of Berlin. Let’s hope our two sick ones (sr. Nigel Williams-Goss and Shaquille McKissick) will be fine. I think it will be fine. It’s Final Four week. I think we will be ready competitively.

But the problem that remains has to do with the tickets. The demand is huge. Unfortunately we have saddened, not just fans who are loyal to the team, we have saddened friends, relatives. We really ask for everyone’s understanding because what happened this year was not something we could handle and there was no way to handle it.”
