Red Star has not used the facilities of the Belgrade Arena for more than a month, since the ABA League quarter-final match against Studenski (it has been moved to Hala Pionir).
We were in the Arena for the first time in a month on Sunday and we have absolutely no ability to technically edit any surveillance camera footage from that room by anyone’s imagination! If a minute is missing from the video, it should be explained by the management of the Arena and its technical staff, because Red Star published the full video they obtained, not the “cut” version.
The fact is that our player, Stefan Lazarević, suffered two concussions and injuries that make him unable to play basketball!
The sports director of Red Star, Milan Dozer, was the target of lies in the same statement, although he was not physically present when the incident happened (he was in a meeting in the coach’s office with Yannis Sferopoulos), but later in a civilized conversation with the coach of Partizan (ss. Zelimir Obradovic), who was also not present at the incident, agreed that the tension must be calmed urgently!
Everything else belongs to the realm of gross falsehoods. The only indisputable fact is that Red Star does not have its player available for the third game of the finals due to the injuries he suffered and that the sporting director of our club cannot independently make such big decisions in his position as to cover such a incident!”.
