A “dream” year was completed by Stella Kaltsidouwhich led the London Lions in winning the championship of Great Britainafter the mug and at Eurocup Women.
However, shortly after she added another mug to her tally, the Kaltsidou stated that the next season will not find her on the bench of the English team.
“I’m not coming back next season. But I feel emotionally charged. I think we all feel that way, because we’ve been through so much together. I personally feel that this team is my family. I don’t know if I can say this, but I feel like there’s a big connection because I’ve seen every side of myself in these girls.
I feel like I’ve won 12 very very good girlfriends and it’s definitely hard to be at the end of that journey. I’ll be watching them, though. They know I will always support them. I hope and wish I have an opportunity in the future to work with them again. If not with all, at least with most of them. And that will be my great pleasure”Kaltsidou said specifically.
