Partizan narrowly missed out on the Adriatic League title from Red Star and Zeljko Obradovic left after the match spikes against the referee.
“It doesn’t matter if we’ve lost six straight times to Red Star. After the first game of the series everything was clear about where the thing was going and how it would end. I don’t want to get into that. Congratulations to the opposition, but if the Adriatic League is to progress, some things need to change“, emphasized the Serbian technician.
“We were in contention for victory in all the games. We saw the mistakes of the referees, the same happened in the second game and the third match was decided in one possession. But I don’t want to say more. The main person responsible for the result is me. It was a great school for me, some things are more important than winning, like being able to look someone in the eye. I can do it, not sure about others“, he added.
“I will always be with my players. You can’t talk about lack of effort because we had 13 more possessions in the third final and that doesn’t happen if you don’t fight. But whatever happened, I’m responsible. We lost, we will try to be better in the new season“, concluded.
