Total investments 470 million euros! – How the Panathinaikos stadium will transform Votanikos

The construction of a new stadium in an area, usually offers in addition to a new “home” to each team and multiple benefits for the place that will host it.

Something which clearly applies in the case of Double Regenerationwhich provides for the creation of the new Panathinaikos stadium in Votanikos…

This project comes to leave its … imprint both on a financial level, with the private investments -which are given and will accompany it- to reach 470 million euros!

As much, of course, in the part of the overall “transformation” of the specific and the wider area. Thanks to the projects that will be done to facilitate the functionality of the stadium and -the main thing- people’s lives.

The investments are immediately launched!

As is known, the plan provides for the construction of two sports facilities. The first concerns the soccer field 40,000 seats and an area of ​​52,000 sq.m., which will be its headquarters “Clover”. The second has to do with additional sports facilities of 7,500 sq.m.

Apart from the investment that concerns the Double Regeneration, the creation of infrastructure as well as the construction of sports facilities, however, the presence of the Panathinaikos stadium in Votanikos will mobilize several important investments of the private sector.

Investments that will not be made in words, but on the contrary these are moves that have already been launched by the companies involved.

By way of example, here are some of them:

Creation of an office building by the company “Reds”, worth EUR 50 million.

Project of the company “Dimand” worth EUR 125 million.

Creation of storage spaces by the company “Libani Publications”, worth € 3.34 million.

Completion and operation of the facilities of the former building “B. Vovos”, worth EUR 125 million.

Relocation of the KTEL station, worth EUR 150 million.

Project of the company “Pasal”, worth EUR 20 million.

To the above investments should be added the relocation of a total of 350 companies, to modern facilities and infrastructure in the Municipality of Fili, which until today are based in the area of ​​Eleonas.

A more “human” and upgraded area

Let us not hide. Votanikos is an urban and residential area that for many years was in demand. This will cease to be valid! The investments that will be made will turn it into an area which will include modern sports facilities, common areas, green areas, as well as buildings of central functions.

In short, this intervention in an area of ​​about 220 acres will change the current picture and transform it into an area of ​​value in the center of Athens.

Apart from the visual thing, however, there will be changes in the level of viability of the inhabitants living in the area of ​​Eleonas.

The traffic jam that is observed on the National Road and consequently on all the main arteries – due to the presence of many companies there, which will leave, however – is an important reason for this!

At the same time, the services offered by the KTEL buses will be upgraded, with their relocation to Eleonas. At a station that will be more reminiscent of a modern airport, where it will be connected to the Metro network…

Attracting new investments and jobs…

In the third plan comes at the same time another event, which arises through the atop. Which is nothing more than that this ambitious plan, in the long run, will attract other investments of billions of euros, which will change the image of the capital…

Many investment projects have already been launched, as we mentioned before, which are expected to multiply over the years, contributing to the further development of the region.

Finally, it goes without saying that the start of work on the Double Regeneration will automatically increase the available jobs. However, even after the completion of the project, the positions will remain at high levels, due to the investments that will have been made and the development that Votanikos will have experienced!
