“How De Gerby went from wanted in Europe, unemployed with no offers”

by

Her news broke like a bolt of lightning a few days ago of Robert de Gerby’s departure from Brighton.

The Italian played for less than two years at the “seagulls” and while a few months ago we imagined that he would leave in the summer for some much larger clubhe finally resigned and according to his words, he has no proposal in his hands!

Groups such as Liverpool and the Bayern Munich they presented themselves as directly interested in the 45-year-old coach, who, however, suddenly found himself unemployed with no immediate prospects. And it is clear that the excellent technician will hardly remain out of the bench for a long time, however it is also a fact that his career took a rather unexpected turn.

As stated by Sun, De Gerby left Brighton because of – and – club strongman Tony Bloom’s concerns about the Italian’s mentality. The Seagulls are known for their cost-effective model of investing in young footballers with the aim of securing big transfer profits – see Caicedo, White, McAllister, Cucoureya.

Last year, De Gerby insisted that the 28-year-old be signed for a hefty fee Dahud from Dortmund, with the 28-year-old midfielder failing and returning on loan to Stuttgart.

The publication claims that this is just one example of the Italian coach’s frequent reluctance to work within club policy, creating the unwanted reputation of the coach who wants an autonomy reminiscent of other eras.

It remains to be seen, however, whether this rumor will further affect the future of the 45-year-old Alenatore, while the Chelsea’s bench has just been left empty…
