THE Vincenzo Italiano spoke after Fiorentina’s 3-2 win over Cagliari and of course commented on his final Conference League against Olympiakos.
The “viola” coach emphasized that on Wednesday (29/05) his team must be very careful and avoid mistakes against the “red and whites”, who, as he described, are a organised club.
First, he spoke about the match with Cagliari: “We are at the end of a long and tiring season but such a reaction against a rival is a good sign ahead of Athens. It was a real match against Cagliari and we couldn’t have prepared better. We are in 8th grade maths and I am happy, I saw the children celebrating and that is the excitement is something positive.
In the league we paid for the bad luck in the penalties and the failure in too many matches that we could have closed otherwise, there is a bit of disappointment. So we close with a position that leads us to Europe and with an excellent result”.
For the grand final of the Conference League he noted: “I hope to see Florence like Bergamo. I want to give this joy to the children and the supporters of the team, they deserve it as well as Atalanta. Olympiacos comes from an exciting run, they are an organized team and in a final anything can happen. Today we made mistakes that we must not repeat on Wednesday, we must be very careful. The future; Let’s think only about Athens, then we will draw conclusions”.
