by

On Sunday afternoon (02/06), Mr Stefanos Tsitsipas prevailed upon him Matteo Arnaldi with 3-1 setsreaching the Roland Garros quarterfinals for the fourth time in his career!

After the end of the match, the Greek tennis player stated that he had to move his cl.. enough (!) to reach the upset, while, regarding the upcoming match against Carlos Alcarath (No.3), he mentioned that he should makes life… difficult!

Let’s remember that Alcarath and Tsitsipas have faced each other five times, with the Spanish tennis player he has an even number of wins with a total of 12-3 sets!

Stefanos Tsitsipas’ statements in detail:

“I had to shake my ass quite a bit today! (s.s. laughs). It was one of the craziest twists I’ve done. The momentum seemed to be constantly on his side and that was very frustrating for me because I felt like I was trying my best and nothing was working.

My fighting spirit was the reason I was able to get back into the match today. Even at 5-3 in the 2nd set, I felt like I could turn it around. That game, when I made the break and went down to 5-4, I got the most pleasure that tennis has given me in a long time!”.

On the duel with Carlos Alcarath in the quarterfinals: “He’s said in the past that he likes playing against me, hopefully this time he likes it a little less (laughs). Hopefully I can make him more uncomfortable this time, that’s my goal going into the match and hopefully I’ll take my chances and play in a nice atmosphere like today, those are the moments you want as a tennis player.”
