He is also hospitalized, while an arrest warrant has already been issued against him for the attacks.

The motive of the attacker remains unclear, as he is not yet in a position to give a statement to the police. However, as it became known from the local authorities, he had arrived in Germany from Afghanistan as a minor in 2014 and in the meantime has married, had two children and is settled with his family in Heppenheim, Hesse.
