Mônica Bergamo: Formula 1 GP SP had pharaonic operation with 6 cargo planes and 54 maritime containers

The holding of the São Paulo F1 GP this weekend in Interlagos, in the city of São Paulo, had a pharaonic operation. To transport the teams, their cars and equipment, six cargo planes and 54 shipping containers were needed.

ON MY WAY

Air cargo brought into the country alone is equivalent to 900 tons. And, by ship, another 400 tons arrived. On land, the transport of material moves 90 trucks.

The event, which takes place on the 12th, 13th and 14th of this month, will be broadcast by Band and is announced by the Government of São Paulo as the biggest in the history of the race in Brazil. More than 150 thousand people are expected at the Interlagos Autodrome, and tickets have been sold out for over a month. There are only a few corporate packages for sale.

The holding of the GP in São Paulo this year represents a victory for Governor João Doria (PSDB) after an arm wrestling with Jair Bolsonaro (no party) — the president dreamed of taking the race to Rio de Janeiro.
