Betting circuit: And a third letter from the president of the Ethics Committee!

And a third letter was sent by the chairman of the Ethics Committee Charalambos Kotoulopoulos, who requests the file of the Greek version of the international illegal betting ring in order to proceed with the imposition of disciplinary sanctions.

As “Open Trial” revealed, the document is addressed to the president of the Three-Member Board of Directors of the Court of First Instance of Athens and through him to the 13th regular investigator, who has the entire relevant file in her hands.

In fact, it is notified to the Minister of Justice, the Deputy Minister of Sports and the deputy prosecutor of the Supreme Court who oversees sports matters.

In his letter, Mr. Kotoulopoulos points out that he requested in writing the evidentiary material of the case file in July 2023 and received the answer from the Athens sports prosecutor Costas Spyropoulos that the case is at an early procedural stage.

He came back twenty days ago with a second letter, but Mr. Spyropoulos had already sent the entire file to the responsible investigator Theodora Traianidou.

Under these circumstances, the appellant Charalambos Kotoulopoulos drafted a third document, with which he requests the material of the case file that will allow him to impose disciplinary sanctions on teams and football players.
