Hervo Kolianin and Dinos Genidounias took their hats off to Pro Reco, but expressed their belief that the Olympic can do the damage in the semi-final (5/6, 20:00) of the Final-4 of the Champions League for Polo.
“First of all, good evening everyone and thanks for the hospitality. I don’t think the two games we played in the group stage showed anything important for either team, because we gave them six months ago. Tomorrow, I expect a tough game. We know who we’re playing. We are playing an excellent team, the European champions three times in a row. But we will do what we do throughout the season, look game by game and just our side and not who we are playing. For us, it is very important to show our good face and believe that we can succeed“, emphasized the Croatian technician at the press conference in Malta.
“You can never expect to win the Pro Reco, but if there’s one team that has shown they can do it, it’s Olympiacos. We achieved it twice, in 2018 in Genoa and in 2019 in Hanover. As our coach said, we played two games this season where we were very close, but that was six months ago and since then, both us and Reko have improved. Sure, like I said at the beginning, you can’t expect to beat Reko, but we’re here to fight until the end to beat the three-time European champion“, said Dinos Genidounias for his part.
