AEK Betsson said goodbye to Khina: “The door for Giorgos will be wide open”

by

End credits for George Hina in AEK!

After its announcement, the Union bids farewell to Mr 14 yearsits General Manager, emphasizing that the door will always be open.

The announcement in detail:

“AEK VETSSON BC announces that Giorgos Khinas will not be in our team from the new season.

Our previous General Manager decided to leave, after 14 years of continuous and uninterrupted presence at “Vasilissa”.

G. Khinas had a decisive contribution to the trophy-winning course of our Team, but also to important and beautiful matches inside and outside the stadiums, always having as a compass for his choices the ideals of our glorious Association, which he serves from various positions in the extended family since he was a child us.

And yes… There are some, who are irreplaceable. And George is without a doubt ONE of them.

The door of AEK VETSSON BC will remain for Giorgos Orthanoiktis!

We wish him every success in whatever medium he chooses to continue his career.

See you again…”

Giorgos Khinas himself, with his statement, left the door wide open for a return to the future and said:

“Today I part with my second home after 14 years of dedication.

In these 14 years I made friends and enemies in the name of AEK. I feel proud of both.

We won titles (2 Greek Cups, 1 BCL and 1 Intercontinental Cup). We organized F4 and F8 of BCL. We made a movie, “1968” will always remind us that “groups make history”, as one soul has said. We have moved to our new stadium.

I worked with dozens of people: Members of management, players, coaches, staff. I thank them all.

From the bottom of my heart, however, I want to make a special mention of 3 people, who I consider pivotal for me and AEK during these 14 years.

Mr. Makis Angelopoulos, because he does not stop fighting and saw AEK in the long term and not opportunistically.

Mr. Alexis Alexiou because without him AEK would be struggling in the lower categories of Greek basketball.

Mr. Giorgos Nikolaou because he loves AEK more than his life.

I wish everyone success!

You can’t say goodbye to your family…

See you again!”
