“Lavriou Megabolt OEM is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with Kostis Godikas.

Kostis Gondikas was born on March 15, 1994, is 2.06 m tall and plays as a center.

The international center played college basketball at New York University, where he graduated, averaging 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 102 games. In 2016 he returned to Greece and started his professional career at Panathinaikos, where he played for one season.

In the 2017-2018 season he played for Apollon Patras and the A2 championship. He returned to the top division the following year as a player for Hefaistos Limnos, followed by stints at Peristeri (2019-2020) and AEK (2020-2021).

In the 2021-2022 season he was a member of Ionian Nikias and in the middle of the season he signed for Pitesti in Romania. Last season he started in Karditsa, but from December he returned to Athens for a second term at AEK.

Last season he started in Rhodes and Kolossos before signing a contract with Lavrios Megabolt, with whom he averaged 7.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 18 minutes in 8 league games.

Kostis Gondikas was unlucky with his wrist injury that did not allow him to finish the season as he would have liked, but he returns even stronger in the new year and ready to support the effort of Lavrios Megabolt, as he did in 2024. His family Lavriou Megabolt welcomes Kostis again and wishes him a good racing year with good health.

Gondikas: “We have left something in the middle, I wanted to stay”

Kostis Godikas immediately after the agreement for his stay in Lavrio pointed out: “I think we have left something in the middle from the previous year in Lavrio.

I wanted to stay in the team from the beginning, I feel very comfortable from the first moment I joined it and my goal was to play here again. I had a pretty difficult time with my serious hand injury, but now I’m very well and I’m preparing for the next one year.

I am convinced that a competitive team will be created, which will fight every game and have the qualities that every fan wants to see from their team. We have to do nothing less than hard work on the pitch to build a team that everyone will be happy to see”.
