With his concession Ezekiel Ponce from AEK in the Houston Dynamo, the “Union” completed on Saturday (14/06) the most expensive sale in its history, putting in its coffers an amount of around 8.5-9 million euros.
One excellent deal for the “two-headed man”, who managed to sell the Argentine for almost three times more money than he bought him (3.5 million euros) just a year after acquiring him. AEK had made it known from the previous period that it is open to listen to proposals for its players, but with the condition to satisfy her “want” financesas happened with the case of the 27-year-old forward.
It is easy to see, however, that with the sale of Ponce, one is also created big gap on the attack line of the “yellow and black”. The club’s people have started the process for the player to replace the Argentinian and are already considering striker cases, as reported by today’s newspaper “Sports Time”.
Given that AEK’s task is not easy, since the acquisition of a striker who will have the… sure goal always has particularities, however, the deal with Ponce gives it a comfort in terms of financial part.
One of the cases that have been heard strongly, in fact, is that of the former player of “Enos”, Lucas Boyer. The 28-year-old wants to leave Granada, who were relegated and has elements that could potentially suit his playing philosophy Matias Almeida.
So far there is nothing advanced and all transfer fronts at AEK are expected to be cleared next week, where “Pelados” will return to Greece to get to work ahead of the new season.
