Eight months ban on entry to Giannakopoulos and an 85,000 euro fine!

The decision of the Sports Referee of ESAKE on Dimitris Giannakopoulos for what happened on the sidelines of the fifth final of the Basket League between Panathinaikos and Olympic.

The strongman of the green KAE was punished with penalty of banning entry to all stadiums for a period of eight monthswhile he and KAE were imposed a total fine of 85,000 euros (35,000 in person and 50,000 in KAE), for “actions and statements of its owner”.

It is noted that for what happened after the second final, DPG was punished with a ban on entering the stadiums for three months and a fine of a total of 83,700.

“1. DIMITRIS GIANNAKOPOULOS, the owner of PANATHINAIKOS ATHLETIKOS OMILOS KALATHOSFAIRIKIS ANONYMIS ETEIREIAS (d.t. KAE PANATHINAIKOS) is imposed the penalty of a temporary ban on entry to all stadiums for a period of eight (8) months and a fine of thirty-five thousand (35,000.00) ) euros, for his actions and statements, which constitute defamation of the sport, actions that took place before, during and after the end of the championship match with the team of the OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION OF Piraeus Philanthropists KALATHOSFAIRIKI ANONIME ETAIREIA (d.t. OLYMPIAKOS KAE ) held on 14-06-2024 and

2. A monetary fine of fifty thousand (50,000) euros is imposed on the PANATHINAIKOS ATHLETIKOS OMILOS BASKETBALL SOCIETY (d.t. KAE PANATHINAIKOS) for actions and statements of its owner, which constitute defamation of the sport, actions that took place before, according during and after the end of the championship match with the team of OLYMPIC PHILATHLON ASSOCIATION OF PIRAEUS BASKETBALL JSC (n.d. OLYMPIAKOS KAE) held on 14-06-2024.”
