From the 2nd to the 7th of July, it will take place at CHEF one of the four pre-Olympic tournaments, with the National team of Greece to enter the battle for a ticket to Olympic Games.
The Faleri stadium management announced a series of improvement works carried out at the facilities, with an emphasis on scoreboards, in the locker room, but also in the air conditioning.

A series of important improvement works were carried out at its facilities Stadium of Peace and Friendship (SEF), in the context of upgrading its infrastructure, but also enhancing the experience of visitors and athletes.
Works and interventions of total amount €500,000which were carried out with a focus on quality, environmental sensitivity and readiness to host international sports events, using resources from the 60.61% increase in the regular grant, implemented by the Deputy Minister of Sports, Yannis Vroutsis.
It is reminded that from 1/1/2024 and every year now the CHEF is subsidized by the Ministry with an additional 2 million euros and its regular subsidy amounts to 5.3 million euros.
It is also noted that 1.5 million euros are available – in the ongoing tender – for the installation of a new refrigeration unit in the central hall of the SEF.
The immediate needs, however, as far as his part is concerned air conditioningwere dealt with by the SEF administration with the temporary supply of air conditioning units, so that the matches of the National team could be held without interruption, both in the “Acropolis” tournament and in the big event of the summer, the Pre-Olympic tournament in Athens.
Replacement of the Main Arena Scoreboards
Two new, state-of-the-art Scoreboards were installed in the main arena of the Stadium, which offer an improved visual experience and, at the same time, provide more complete and clearer information during the matches. This upgrade will go a long way in enhancing the sports experience and audience interaction.
New Locker Room
Two new changing rooms were created for the athletes and the same number for the referees, designed to high standards and friendly to the environment. The new changing rooms are equipped with energy-saving systems and made of materials that minimize the ecological footprint. With the addition of these four new changing rooms, SEF can now organize European and world tournaments, which significantly upgrades the uses of the Stadium.
Renewal of Shared Spaces
Extensive paint work has been carried out throughout the interior of the Stadium, giving it a more welcoming and renewed character. The aesthetic upgrade contributes to the creation of a pleasant and positive atmosphere for athletes, referees and visitors.
The SEF is now ready to once again host major sporting events, enhancing the country’s visibility at an international level.
