Antonis Koniaris remains in Prometheus Patras. The Achaean KAE announced the renewal of its cooperation with the 27-year-old international Greek guard for one year, in order to strengthen the efforts of the Patrinas in Greece and BCL.

“KAE Prometheus Patras is pleased to announce the extension of the contract of the athlete Antonis Koniaris, who will be a member of our basketball family and the new season.
Antonis Koniaris was born on September 30, 1997 in Chania. He is 1.93 tall and competes in positions ‘1’ and ‘2’. He was a member of the “golden group” of Greek basketball that won the Eurobasket U20 in 2017 with coach Ilias Papatheodorou. On a collective level, Koniaris has several shows.
He started his career with PAOK (2013-14), while the following two years he played for Panathinaikos (2014-16), before returning again to the ‘two-headed team of the North’ (2016-19). Afterwards, the Greek guard was transferred to Olympiakos (2019-21), with whom he made several appearances in the Euroleague as well. In 2021 he had two short spells from the Spanish club Obradoiro and Ionikos Nikias, while in the two years 2021-23 he played for AEK.
In the last season he played in our team, being an integral member of a highly successful year, reaching the ‘8’ of the BCL, the four of the Cup and the fifth place of the Basket League. Last season, he averaged 5.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in the Basket League, while shooting an excellent 43% from beyond 6.75m.
