THE Dimitris Spanos he is officially their new coach Chania, after the departure of Yiannis Tausianis for the National Team of Hope. The 55-year-old coach knows the division very well, while last season he worked at Ionikos.

PAE CHANIA is pleased to announce the start of cooperation with coach Dimitris Spanos.
Born on July 13, 1969 in Aigios, an experienced technician, undertakes to lead our team to the new championship of Super League 2, 2024-25.
As a football player, he competed in the 1st national team with the jersey of Ionikos Nicaea, while he also wore the jerseys of Atromitos Athens, Paneigialeio, Byzantium Megara, Leonidio and Anagennisi Arta, while in the 1997-98 season he competed in the 4th national championship with his jersey A.O. Chania.
His coaching career began in 2005 with Artas Renaissance, while many historic teams followed.
Among others, he was a technician at Panachaiki, Paneigialeio, Rhodes, Paneleussiniakos, Apollon Smyrnis, while in 2017 he took over the technical leadership of Aris Thessaloniki with whom he celebrated promotion to the Super League.
Next stations were Corfu, Doxa Drama and Levadeiakos, while in the summer of 2020 he took over the technical leadership of Ionikos, which he led to the first Division, after 14 years. His first season in the Super League was highly successful, with the Nice side finishing in 7th place.
He left the bench of Ionikos in January 2023, only to return a few months later, namely in December of the same year, leading Ionikos to the 3rd place in the Super League 2 play-offs.
In total, Dimitris Spanos has coached 52 games in the Super League and more than 200 games in the second tier league.
