Discounts apply to teachers returning to their place of permanent residence.
Substitute teachers of Primary and Secondary Education for the academic year 2023-2024 have discounts on ferry tickets, in order to return to their place of permanent residence.
In particular, with a joint initiative of the Ministries of Education, Religion and Sports and Shipping and Island Policy, discounts of up to 50% on the ferry tickets of the ferry companies are announced:
– Fast Ferries 30% discount for passengers and 20% for their vehicles and engines (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024).
– ATTICA GROUP 50% discount for passengers, their vehicles and engines (21.06.2024 – 05.07.2024).
– Minoan Lines 50% discount for passengers, their vehicles and engines (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024 on the lines PIRAEUS – MILOS – HERACLEIO – PIRAEUS and HERACLEIO – MILOS – PIRAEUS – HERACLEIO).
– Golden Star Ferries 30% discount for passengers and 20% for their vehicles and engines (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024 Islands to Athens).
-Saronic Ferries 30% discount for passengers (all educational year).
– Skyros Marine Company 50% discount for passengers and their vehicles (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024).
– AEGEAN SEA LINES 50% discount for passengers, their vehicles and engines (25.06.2024 – 02.07.2024).
– Dodekanissos Sea Ways 50% discount for passengers (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024).
– LEVANTE FERRIES GROUP 50% discount for passengers, their vehicles and engines (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024).
– TRITON FERRIES 50% discount for passengers, their vehicles and engines (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024) and
– KAPTHAIA NE (GOUTOS LINES) 50% discount for passengers, their vehicles and engines (21.06.2024 – 02.07.2024).
Necessary supporting documents for granting the discount are:
– the relevant recruitment decision by the Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports and
– the Police ID.
The Minister of Education, Religion and Sports Kyriakos Pierrakakis warmly thanks the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Christos Stylianidis, as well as the ferry companies for their immediate response to the request of the Ministry of the Interior for the provision of the above facilities.
The initiative is part of the ongoing care but also the essential recognition of the work of our teachers, who offer their best in the educational process.
