“You cannot play basketball in Europe and not know PAOK. It is a team with a great history, with passionate fans and for me it is a great opportunity for my career to play in Greece and for PAOK“, said the 30-year-old guard, who gives great importance to the European perspective of the new season: “I really want to play in Europe and not just in a domestic competition and this time I think I will have the opportunity to do it. I know that PAOK have the qualifiers ahead of them, but this is a big challenge, an additional motivation, to start the season with a difficult tournament, to qualify and play in the BCL groups. In any case, next year I will compete with PAOK in a European competition and this gives me great motivation».
Bartley is looking forward to the new season: “I am very ambitious as a person and I want through the effort we will make with my team to succeed. I am happy to work with the coach, to be in such a historic team as PAOK and I hope we achieve great things. And I, for my part, to be even better than last season. I can’t wait for the days to pass, to come to Thessaloniki and start working for the next season».
The American guard played with the number “24” almost throughout his career and will do so in the new season with PAOK. The reason is obvious and as he himself confirms… “Kobe Bryant is my favorite player and that is why I have chosen to play with 24 all these years».
