The beauty of football from the other side, she saw Croatian in the game with her Italy for the last matchday of the 3rd group. Hrvatska kept the victory-qualification in her hands, however, “Squadra Azhura”, at least average in the match, scored in the 90’+8′ and with the final 1-1 she got the ticket for the “16”.
Zlatko Dalic’s side may not have been mathematically eliminated, however chasing a “miracle”, in order to be in the top four thirds. Actually one combination of four results (of course some of them not so… extreme).
First, it should be noted that Croatia finished 3rd with two points (the part of the delays in the matches against Albania and Italy proved to be decisive, games where her opponents hurt her with a buzzer beater).
Given this, of the remaining five groups (excluding her own) she only looks at two. That is, as many as the best third parties, from which it must excel. And this is because in the other three (whether their matches have been completed or not) the teams occupying the 3rd place already have more points than her.
In particular, Croatia needs to overtake Slovenia or the Serbia by 3rd group (it cannot pass Denmark, which also has two points) and the Czech republic or the Agriculture from 6th group.
So what combination is required in the context of the 3rd and final matchday of said groups in order to finish above these teams?
A) To win England the Slovenia either with 3-0 either with difference of four goals or more (the second one in any case tilts in favor of Croatia and this because the possible tie between them can be determined even in Fair Play, in which criterion Slovenia currently excels)
B) To win Denmark the Serbia
C) To win Turkey her Czech republic
D) To win Portugal the Agriculture
In other words, in these two groups, the first two must prevail over the last two, with England having to do so with a specific margin in their favor.
Caution: They need to happen all four together and not one or some of them.
