Selma Blair, actress of classics from the 1990s and 2000s such as “Legally Blonde”, “Cruel Intentions” and “Tudo Para Ficar com Ele”, was the target of insults and nasty comments on the internet this Monday (24).
All because the actress, who turned 52 last Sunday (23), was filmed allegedly ignoring Anitta at Paris Fashion Week. The two were sitting in the front row of the Schiaparelli fashion show.
In the 20-second video, Blair is seen talking and laughing with Kylie Jenner, who was on her left side, while Anitta, on her right side, appears to be left out of the conversation. The excerpt was enough to anger some of the Brazilian’s fans, who took to Selma’s Instagram to comment.
“You’re ridiculous”, “impolite”, “talk to Anitta properly”, “behave better with Anitta next time”, “Anitta should ignore you” and “your attitude towards Anitta was embarrassing, be more polite” were some of the comments that filled the actress’ profile on the social network.
The offensive was so big that there were Brazilians apologizing to Selma Blair. “Anitta is the biggest in the country and therefore has the burden of living with mediocre fans”, explained one.
“I apologize for the malicious comments from some Brazilians. They saw a video that lasted a few seconds and thought you ignored Anitta. No one was there to know and they judge anyway. Anitta is the biggest in Brazil, so people are offended by a video ten seconds. Don’t worry and enjoy your birthday,” wrote another fan.
To the surprise of fans, Selma responded to several of the comments. The actress, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, said she was sad and said she loved the Brazilian singer.
“I’m heartbroken, I was just trying not to sweat over her and her delicate beauty. I’m absolutely enchanted by Anitta. They’re all queens around me and I just felt honored. I didn’t know I behaved offensively. It was just a snippet of a moment where we were laughing because we were both wearing Kylie’s lip gloss I’m so sad,” Selma wrote.
The two, alongside Kylie, even posed for photos together, minutes after the incident.
