Bologna newspaper: “And Panathinaikos for Sengelia, but Vezenkov is a priority”

by

While the Panathinaikos seems to be basically looking for a centre-back to complement Matias Lessor, a report in Italy involves him in scenarios for his acquisition (free from Virtus Bologna) Toko Sengelia adding that the “greens” would prefer him Sasha Vezenkov.

Sengelia evaluates the proposals he has: the longest is from Red Star, but only for one year, the longest is from Barcelona but with lower wages and the most persistent is from Panathinaikos, which, however, for ‘4’ has priority on Vezenkov. And then there’s Virtus“, reports the Repubblica-Bologna report.

It is recalled that Panathinaikos moved for Toko Sengelia last year, before acquiring Juancho Hernangomet. At that time, the “greens” had agreed on everything with the Georgian power forward, however, the golden ratio was not found with Virtus Bologna. The 32-year-old ace had a great season with the Italian team, averaging 14.5 points, 5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1 assist and 17.4 rating in 27:25.

As for him Sasha Vezenkov, the Bulgarian international is under contract with the Kings and is likely to leave in a trade. If he is released from a contract with an NBA team, a return to Europe is likely, with Olympiakos prioritizing his return.
