Official: Panathinaikos AKTOR announced Brown… three years

And with his… arrow player Panathinaikos AKTOR is from today (25/06) and for the next three years o Lorenzo Brown!

With the “green” KAE formalizing its agreement with the American – with a Spanish passport – guard, signing a contract with him until the summer of 2027.

By activating, thus, the first “bomb” of this summer, on a transfer level, while as is well known, Panathinaikos AKTOR will proceed to acquire a center which probably it will… stir the waters.

The relevant announcement in detail:

“KAE Panathinaikos AKTOR announces the acquisition of Lorenzo Brown for the next three years.

We would like to thank the management of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv for their contribution to the completion of this transfer.

Lorenzo Brown was born on August 26, 1990 in Illinois, United States, he is 1.96m tall. and competes in the guard positions.

As a collegiate, he played at North Carolina State from 2010 to 2013. In his second NCAA season, he averaged 12.4 points, 7.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds. Overall, in his college career he averaged 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 32.6 minutes per game.

Brown was selected 52nd overall in the 2013 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves and on September 26, signed his first professional contract with the team.

In November 2013, he moved to the Philadelphia 76ers, while also playing for their affiliate, the Delaware 87ers.

On July 29, 2014, he signed with the Italian Reyer Venezia, however, at the beginning of September he returned to the USA on behalf of the Detroit Pistons, while in November he moved to the Grand Rapids Drive, the affiliate of the Denver Nuggets.

On January 28, 2015, he signed a contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, with whom he played in 29 games, averaging 4.2 points, 3.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds.

In January 2016 he signed with the Phoenix Suns and made his debut against the Indiana Pacers having 7 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal, while on March 18, 2016 he was traded to the Detroit Pistons.

In November 2016, he signed with Russia’s UNICS Kazan, but in December he moved to China on behalf of the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, where in 20 games he averaged 24 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.6 steals. After the season ended in China, Brown returned to the US racing at Grand Rapids Drive.

In the 2017-2018 season he was with the Toronto Raptors, splitting his time between the NBA and the G League, earning the G League Most Valuable Player Award. In July 2018, he renewed his contract with the Raptors, playing 26 games with them.

On February 10, 2019 he returned to China on behalf of the Guangzhou Loong Lions and in the 9 matches he played there he averaged 25.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.8 steals.

In the summer of 2019, he signed with Crvena Zvezda and played with them in 27 Euroleague games averaging 12.3 points, 4.6 assists and 3.3 assists.

On July 14, 2020, he was announced by the Turkish Fenerbahce Beko and in the Euroleague he counted 8.7 points, 3.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 37 games.

In July 2021 he signed with the Russian UNICS and in 26 matches in the Euroleague he had 17.3 points, 6 assists and 3.2 rebounds.

On June 29, 2022, Brown signed a two-year contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He finished the 2023-2024 season averaging 13.2 points, 6.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds in the Eurolerague and was ranked in the second best five of the competition. With Maccabi Tel Aviv he won the Israeli championship twice.

In total, he has played in 135 Euroleague games from 2019 to 2024, averaging 13 points, 5.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds.

In July 2022, Lorenzo Brown took Spanish citizenship and competed with the country’s National Team at EuroBasket 2022, where he won the gold medal. His presence was impressive, as he finished the event averaging 15.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 7.6 assists!”
