Doncic: “I’m tired and I have injuries, but my desire to play with the national team is huge”

Although he suffered from many injuries in his long career Mavericks until the NBA Finals, the Luka Doncic proved once again that he is a “loyal soldier” for her Slovenian national and will compete normally in his pre-Olympic tournament CHEF.

“Luka Magic” spoke at his national team’s press conference and referred to his struggling body, stressing that despite the fatigue, he is highly motivated to succeed with the national flag and is therefore looking forward to claiming a ticket for the Olympic Games.

We remind that the Slovenia is in the first group of the SEF tournament, and will likely find itself in its way Greece for Paris, either at semi-finals or in the final.

“I’m tired, I have problems with injuries but my desire to play with the national team is always huge. The doctors did detailed tests, I got the green light and now all my thoughts are on the tournament that awaits us in Greece. We respect all opponents but we will do our best to get to Paris. I believe we have a team capable of this goal.

Basketball is more than my life. I am very grateful to be on the court and I look forward to every training session and every match. Despite the terrible fatigue I’ve had from the NBA and the injuries, I’m very motivated and I’m looking forward to the upcoming games with a lot of energy because I want to be at the Olympics again with Slovenia. I want more than that, I want us to fight for a medal in Paris”.
