In the “Waterpolo Sardinia Cup”, July 4-6, the National men’s polo team will participate in view of the better preparation of the representative group for the Paris Olympic Games. The delegation will first go to Olbia and from there by road to Alghero, where it will first conduct a joint preparation with Italy and then participate in the tournament.
The federal coach, Thodoris Vlachos, chose 16 players. They are: Manos Zerdevas, Panagiotis Tzortzatos, Kostas Giouvetsis, Dimitris Skoumbakis, Stelios Argyropoulos – Kanakakis, Nikolas Papanikolaou, George Dervisis, Dinos Gennidounias, Nikos Gillas, Giannis Fountoulis, Angelos Vlacho poulos, Aristides Chalivopoulos, Stathis Kalogeropoulos, Alexandros Papanastasiou.
They are accompanied by the partner of Mr. Vlachos, Tasos Schizas, the fitness coach, Manolis Vassiliadis, the goalkeeping coach, Philippos Karabetsos, the swimming coach, George Blanas, the physiotherapist Andreas Tzanis and the team manager George Margiouklas as team leader. The international referee, Nikos Boudramis, will be with them.
