Sgouropoulos is changing teams in Poland and France

by

There are contracts in table tennis that are closed even before the summer begins, so that the “strangers” know early how their schedule can be shaped, especially when they are going to compete in various championships.

This concerns the new agreements of Yannis Sgouropoulos. The Eleusinian ace, who this year was lucky to win the Greek championship with Olympiakos, the Swedish championship with Eslov and a title in France’s National 1 with Le Havre, knows for now that he will continue next season in Poland and France, but with different unions. In the first country, he will work with Gliwice, a newcomer to the Polish Super League, and in the second with Boulogne, which belongs to National 1. He can combine this presence with the Greek A1 again this year.

In general, almost all the members of our national teams manage since last year to have the right to play, alongside the foreign championships, in the Greek one and corresponding news are the following:

Panagiotis Gionis, runner-up in Greece last Tuesday with Panathinaikos in his return to A1 after 23 years, renewed for another year his collaboration with the Polish champion, Bogoria Grodzisk.

Katerina Toliou again wears the shirt of Spanish CDTM Hujase Jaen and Rennes from France. With the club from Andalusia, in fact, he will be in the top division in the new season, regardless of whether he had finished in relegation positions. Teams from the lower division showed reluctance for promotion and, according to the Spanish regulations, those who were in the last places of the league 23-24 could remain in the League. French Rennes will be in National 1 this year.

Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos will be another year in the Swedish Record (first national category) and the French Romance (third category).

Gerasimos Hatzilygeroudis will live a new experience in a European country. It closed in Denmark’s B75, a team in the top inter-club division.

For Sgouropoulos, it should be added that his new team in Poland will also take part in the Europe Cup (the second European Cup), while his agreement with the French club is to compete only in May and June.
