Walkup: “In the national team you represent an entire nation”

Optimistic about the effort of the National team in SEF Pre-Olympic Tournament (July 2-7) was introduced Thomas Walkup speaking on her website EEC.

“Our team is ready. Our training sessions are very good, in the friendlies we showed what we can do. We are playing well, we feel comfortable with each other and, most importantly, we feel ready to play to qualify for the Olympics“, emphasized the ace of Olympiakos.

“The key to our qualification will be our defence. That’s our identity and that’s what gives us the pace on offense, giving us easy points from steals or rebounds, from which we quickly send the ball into the open court. What is certain is that the defense is the driver and the most important element,” added the international guard.

“Thomas”, finally, had a special message to send to all Greeks, showing that he has understood what the blue and white means. “The National Team is the most important because it is a huge opportunity for us all to be united together. We do not only represent those who come to the stadium or those who live in this country, but Greeks all over the world. In the National Team you represent something bigger than yourself, your family, the team where you compete. You represent an entire nation and all I have to say to the Greeks is that we are proud to represent them».
