Knezevic took over Panathinaikos

Dragan Knezevic took over Panathinaikos. Amateur Panathinaikos announced the hiring of the Serbian technician for the women’s football team of the “clover”, in order to bring the department to the high positions of the first division, having the experience of major championships and the work in many Greek teams as a “dowry”.

In detail, the announcement:

“The Panathinaikos Sports Club announces the start of its collaboration with coach Dragan Knezevic, who takes over the technical leadership of the club’s women’s football department.

AO Panathinaikos reached a very important agreement, as it shook hands and agreed with Dragan Knezevic to take over the women’s football team.

The experienced coach wants to take the team one step higher than last year’s first season of the ‘clover’ in the big division.

The Serb has rich experience and ‘performances’, as as a footballer he had played in the following teams: Leicester, Borac Čačak, Uzice, Trikala, Larissa, Naoussa, Levadeiako and Ialysos.

As a coach, Knezevics has sat on the bench in the following men’s teams: AO Loukision, Nea Artaki, Anagennisi Schimatariou, Trikala, PO Fikis, AOT Lila Vassilikou Academies and in the women’s teams of Avantid Chalkida and Astera Tripoli.

In his statement on www.pao1908.com, Knezevic said: “I am very happy to join the biggest sports club in Greece. The challenge for me is huge and the approach of the Panathinaikos people made me agree immediately. Panathinaikos has huge potential as a name and this year our goal is to try to build a good team that will challenge for the titles.

Last year was the first for Panathinaikos in the top division, and from this year onwards, the team must always be high and constantly claim what belongs to it. A huge advantage of Panathinaikos is its world and we always want it by our side”.
