“Ergin Ataman in his first season in the Stoiximan Basket League leads Panathinaikos AKTOR to win the Champion’s title and he himself is named Coach of the Year for the 2023-24 season!
The Turkish coach, who with the “greens” won the third Euroleague title of his career in the last competitive year after the two streaks he had won with Anadolu Efes, prevailed in all the votes of the Stoiximan Basket League Awards.
In the voting of the captains and coaches of the teams of the 32nd Professional Championship, Ataman gathered 36.36% of preferences (8 votes) against 27.27% of Vasilis Spanoulis of Peristeri bwin (6 votes).
In the voting of the representatives of the Mass Media, the coach of Panathinaikos AKTOR collected the largest percentage, with 67.44% of the votes (29) and second was Yiannis Kastritis of Aris Midea with 18.6% (8 votes)”.
