Although he led by +20 in the second period, Georgia prevailed… just 96-94 of the Philippines and did not reach the +19 needed to qualify for the semi-finals of the Riga Pre-Olympic Tournament.

So the Latvia finished in first place in the three-way tie and the Philippines in second, leaving them to await the runners-up and first respectively of Group 2 in Saturday’s semi-finals.
