Two important financial outstandings are expected to be closed soon Barcelona.
As “encestando.es” revealed, the Catalans are very close to reaching an out-of-court settlement with Nikola Mirotic and Corey Higginsthus closing a huge “hole” tens of millions of euros. Specifically, as stated in the publication, the “Blaugrana” estimate that they will compensate their two former players with a total amount of 23 million euros.
It all started last summer when Barcelona parted company with Mirotic and Higgins, who were on guaranteed contracts.
Of course, the two players filed appeals claiming their earnings. On the one hand, the Montenegrin forward is asking for an amount close to 22 million euros and this concerns the money he was supposed to receive based on the contract, but also those that were “cut” from his salary, due to the corona virus and the reductions made by the club.
On the other hand, the American guard claims a clearly smaller amount, which it is around 3.4 million euros.
So, according to what is being written in Spain, both Mirotic’s and Higgins’ sides are reportedly willing to pour a little… water in their wine and take less money, through an out-of-court settlement.
