“Press” Athens o Andrea Gardini!
The new coach of the men’s volleyball team of Olympiakos, shortly after 22:30 on Monday night (07/08) he arrived in our country and declared his thirst for titles with his new team, while he recalled the days when he visited the headquarters of the “red and whites” as an opponent and stood in the amazing atmosphere he had encountered.
His statements in detail:
“I feel great. It’s a great challenge for me. I had a nice experience in the past from Athens, with Olympiakos, in the European final! It was many years ago, a historic moment in volleyball. I will always remember this extraordinary moment. That’s why I think it will be a big challenge for us. I will be in a new league, in a different country with a great culture and great history and really, I am proud. I think we will do a great job. I came so early to see the situation here, to meet together with the staff, to get to know each other, to talk about how we can work, to make a good program. We don’t have much time to prepare everything, so I would like to know everything so that I can start in the best possible way.”
For the world of Olympiakos, Gardini said: “The memories I have of our world and its support are unforgettable. I remember the arena, then, full of fans, the arena… was on fire. I love this atmosphere, it’s great. I think it is the biggest support in the volleyball world, so I would like to see our fans as soon as possible. Be with us, help us a lot, as I remember in the past, so that we can go and win everything”.
