Tsirigotis: “We have spent over 10 million euros in six years for Ionikos, we need a teammate”

Everything that has been done in our club in the 6 years that we have been in management has been done by our love, our time and the large amount of money we have spent. The team is “clean”, they don’t owe anything and unfortunately if a teammate is not found the task will be difficult for the team to star in Super League 2 which is already declared».

Can we talk about an exact amount? Was there no help from other entrepreneurs or agencies?

“Look, when we took over the Ionian we didn’t look at the cost. We knew that you don’t get into football in Greece to make money. Besides, we never intended anything like that. Today we can say when the money that has come out of our family’s personal accounts exceeds 10,000,000 euros. Last year alone cost around 2,000,000 euros. And let’s not forget that Ionikos is one of the most unfair teams. Let’s not forget this famous Football League that cost us 1,500,000 euros, a category that came to leave, putting its hand very deep in our pocket. We never backed down, we never hid. We were always ahead for our team and our world. Also, what should not be forgotten is that Ionikos is the only team in the whole of Greece that played in the First National (Super League) without money, because we were never given the amount of 1,500,000 euros since our promotion.
