Koulierakis: “The upset with AEK was the ‘key’ – That’s when we believed that PAOK would win the championship”

Konstantinos Koulierakis the… confession!

The young central defender of PAOK, through a video he created in collaboration with the manager’s office that represents him, spoke about winning the championship by “biceps of the north”his feelings during the derby with Aris from which he was absent due to suspension and also the fiesta that followed in Tuba.

In fact, Koulierakis revealed that too key match in which he and his teammates believed that PAOK could reach the title.

What I experienced in the suite, where I watched the match from above, was something unprecedented, I had to manage emotions, which when I play during the games I have learned to manage them well and they don’t even touch me, but at that moment, without we are in control of situations was something very difficult. As soon as the referee’s final whistle was blown, there was a sense of relief and joy.”

On the fiesta in Tuba and his feelings that night: “From the moment I joined PAOK, the team started winning cups and championships. I happened to be small among champions and cup winners, but I experienced all this from the outside and dreamed of experiencing it myself one day. I reached the first team, became a member of it and finally won the championship myself, so the emotions were intense”.

On when he thought “Two-Headed” would win the championship: “Immediately after the match in Lamia we went back to the training center and we had a special speech, all of us, the football players, the coaching team, and we said “you know something, there are two ways, either we continue and in the end we will be the winners, or we leave it now as it is”, but because we knew we were winners and we had shown it all the way up to that moment, I think that was the key along with the comeback we made in the match against AEK. At that time, we all believed that we can win the championship.”
