Pione Sisto was born in the city of Kampala, Uganda on February 4, 1995. At the age of just two months, Sisto moved with his family to Denmark and his first football steps were taken with Tjorring.
Midtjylland brought him into their academy in 2010 and Pione Sisto made it all the way to the first team by making his Danish league debut in the 2012-2013 season.
The very next year, the Danish winger was named player of the year for Midtjylland and in the 2014-2015 season he celebrated winning the championship.
In the summer of 2016, Spanish Celta took out €6 million from their coffers to make him theirs and Sisto left Denmark with a total of 113 appearances (31 goals, 11 assists).
In the period 2016-2020 Sisto wore the shirt of Celta 135 times (18 goals, 14 assists) in all competitions and then returned to Denmark and Midtjylland, the team that became a football player.
In his second spell at the Scandinavian club, Sisto made 102 appearances (15 goals, 10 assists) and celebrated a Danish Cup.
Last year Pione Sisto played for Alanyaspor in Turkey.
Pione Sisto is an international with the Denmark national team, with whom he has played 26 times since he was first called up in 2015.
