Tete: “People will see dribbles, goals and assists from me”

Tete expressed his joy and satisfaction at his transfer to Panathinaikos in his statements on the PAE YouTube channel. The Brazilian promises dribbles, assists and goals to the friends of the clover who then explains his decision to take the number 10 shirt.

In detail what he said to the PAE camera:



You are one of the most expensive transfers in the history of Panathinaikos. The expectations that exist for you are high. Are you under pressure?



“First of all I would like to thank the president of the club for making the transfer happen, but also the technical director of the team and my agent. It was a difficult transfer but everything went well and I’m very happy. I know it was an expensive transfer. I’m happy and I don’t feel pressure. I came here to help the team.”

What were your first reactions when you heard of Panathinaikos’ interest?



“I felt great joy when I learned about the interest and was informed about the Panathinaikos project, which is an important plan. I learned about the club and decided to come.”

Speaking of the shot that was presented to you, what was it that caught your interest?



“When the project was explained to me, I saw that I can have a leading role. I know my potential and quality. Exactly this plan enabled me to happily decide to come to Panathinaikos”.

Having competed at the highest level and in the most competitive Championships, what do you expect from your presence at Panathinaikos?



“I have experience in European competitions, so it’s a pleasure to be here, to get to know the Greek Championship as well. I hope to help the team with goals, assists and satisfy our fans.”

You have the nickname “Hurricane”. How did this come about?



“It came out when I was still playing at Gremio. In a game we won 3-0, I scored two goals and got one assist. After this match, the nickname came out and it has been with me ever since.”

What message would you like to send to the world of Panathinaikos?



“I want to tell them to expect to see me on the pitch. They will see dribbles, assists and goals from me. From all this, our fans will understand that I am a player who wants to offer and is chasing victory.”

You chose a number on your jersey worn by Bernard, who was especially loved. Do you think you can achieve the same?



“What I want is to do the best for the club. I’m very happy to wear the number 10 shirt and hopefully it will be a very good year for us.”
