Greek sailing reached 20 medals in a few hours

Eight more medals in major international competitions are celebrated by Greek sailing. And, in fact, at home.

In the 420 and 470 Junior European Championship, which was concluded in Thessaloniki organized by N.O.Th, the Greek sailors won 4 gold and 4 silver medals!

If anything amazing account which came to be added to the 12 medals (4 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze) won by our sportsmen and women at the World Techno Championship in Hungary.

In this particular time period, Greece is a world power in the categories of Development, because in all important international competitions one success follows another.

At 420the ILCA 4, the Techno and the Optimists, our country has authentic talents who, with the necessary daily work and the successive training camps organized by the Sailing Federation, have risen to the highest level and the future belongs to them, with the main goal of the great distinction in Los Angeles Olympics.

In the Thessaloniki match, once again Iakovina Kerkezou-Danai Giannoulis showed their enormous class. They won 4 medals. Two golds in Junior women and two silvers in the general standings.

We remind that in 2024 our golden girls won the world championship in Brazil, the world youth championship in Italy and the silver medal in the European championship in Slovenia!!! Amazing athletes…

The other 4 medals were in the U17 category of 420. Sokratis Hamarias- Iason Xypas climbed to the highest step of the podium and Ionas Stamatios Stromatias- Konstantinos Odysseas Pigis took 2nd place. Our two boats put up an amazing race and were vindicated.
