The Peristeri team announced on Wednesday (31/7) the completion of its cooperation with the 28-year-old forward, one year before the end of the contract between them.
A development that resulted from the desire of the Greek ace to continue his career in Australia, following a proposal he received. Besides, he wanted to try something different.
Also, there was a significant reinforcement in his position from Atromitos (Van Weert, Carlitos, while Baku can also play there). Hence the “blue and white” – who have impressed with their transfers this year – are not expected to make any other move in the forwards.
Thus, as is his custom, Atromitos did not “block” the path of Nikos Vergos, whom he thanked with a hearty “goodbye”.
