KAE ARIS Midea announces the acquisition of D’Moi Hodge for the 2024-25 season.
D’Moi Hodge was born in the British Canary Islands on December 20, 1998 and with a height of 1.91m. competes at the shooting guard position.
The team’s new transfer acquisition of Giannis Kastritis comes off a season where he played for the Los Angeles Lakers and their G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, as well as the Portland Trail Blazers’ affiliate, Rip City Remix.
Hodge attended Faith Baptist Christian Academy High School in his high school years, where he won MVP honors.
He began his college career at State College of Florida, where he excelled, averaging 22.3 points in his two years there. In his second year (2019-20) he had 25.2 points on 37.3% shooting, 7.53 rebounds and 5.12 assists, along with 2.69 steals. The 26-year-old ace earned multiple accolades, being a member of the FCSAA All-State and NJCAA All-Region VIII teams.
In 2020, Hodge transferred to Cleveland State University, where he also stayed for two years. In the first year he averaged 10.5 points, 3.69 rebounds, 1.54 assists and 1.73 steals per game and in the second year 15.48 points, 3.13 rebounds, 1.39 assists and 2.19 steals. He set many college records, including 10 3-pointers in one game and 8 in one half, junior scoring records with 46 points in one game and 31 in one half.
ARIS freshman Midea finished his collegiate career at the University of Missouri with 14.7 points and 40% 3-point shooting, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.6 steals, helping his team advance to the NCAA finals and advance in the second round.
Hodge took part in the Las Vegas Summer League in the summer of 2023, and his impressive performances (15.4 points on 40.4% shooting, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals) led the Los Angeles Lakers to give him a two-way contract. He also appeared in the newly formed In-Season Tournament, which was won by the LA team. He played in seven games, averaging 2 points and 0.7 assists.
He spent most of the season in the G-League, first as a player for the South Bay Lakers with 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 steals per game and after January 17, 2024, with the Portland Trail Blazers affiliate Rip City Remix, with whom he averaged 13.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and steals.
This year he took part in the Las Vegas Summer League with the jersey of the San Antonio Spurs (6.5 points) and is now a member of ARIS Midea.
