With the institutional representatives of PAE, we had agreed that we would undertake the full cost of the reconstruction of the interior of the Stadium and the installation of all the cameras, 40 in number, required for its licensing. For their part, they had undertaken the purchase and installation of the 8 turnstiles and the digital ticket system, the preparation of static studies of the central platform and its roof. Along the way and after the two official meetings with the Super League, which took place after our own pressures on the PAE, and in which Mr. Tsiolekas and the Deputy Mayor of Sports Mr. Margomenos participated, needs arose from your side for the creation of suites , special areas for the members of the PAE members club as well as the supply of special projectors for the needs of the television coverage of your matches.

Even the most ignorant person realizes that all these are not the needs of a Municipal Stadium, but the need to convert it into a Stadium of a Limited Company which apparently wants to enjoy all the benefits (television rights, sponsorships, income from betting, etc.) without putting his hand in his pocket.

Therefore, in our meeting with Mr. Dimitris Zervos at the beginning of July, which we provoked, we found that he exists as President and CEO of PAE, from 2022, with which neither the previous Municipal Authority nor we had been informed and ever meet !!!

In this meeting, if you are not familiar with it, let us inform you, we repeated all the specific proposals of the Municipality, for the Municipal Stadium, both for the start of the works and for our proposal for a 4-year concession, of the rights of the Municipality from the tickets (15 % plus VAT), the advertising rights as well as the assumption of the annual maintenance and operation costs of the Municipal Stadium, which exceeds €350,000 (turf maintenance, security, cleaners, water supply, electricity, etc.). But the president of PAE, Dimitris Zervos, although he told us that he finds the meeting and our proposal positive, he asked for a week’s deadline for the final answer.

But Mr. Zervos never answered, and we finally wonder who makes the decisions in PAE and who should be talked to in order to finally get an answer.

Really, where were you when this pure sports fans asked you not to change the sign and the name of the historical PAE Kallithea? Let us tell you. The Municipality of Kallithea has no intention of continuing this “paper war” of announcements and confrontation, on the contrary, the goal of all of us is for the Athens Kallithea team to compete at the Municipal Stadium “Gr. Lambrakis”, in its return to the big division, natural home of the “five-star” Kallithea.
