KAE ARIS Midea announces the signing of Josh Roberts for the 2024-25 season.
Josh Roberts was born on July 15, 1999 and with a height of 2.05m. competes in the positions of power forward and center.
New ARIS acquisition Midea began his collegiate career in 2018 at the prestigious St. John’s. In his second season he averaged 5.2 points, 6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 20 minutes per game. In 2021, he transferred to Manhattan College, where he averaged 8.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.
His best collegiate year came in 2022-23, when he averaged 12.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. With his appeal on defense, the 25-year-old ace was included in the best defensive five in his district, while he holds the record for interceptions in the history of Manhattan, with 90.
Last year Roberts took his first professional steps, splitting the year between Australia and New Zealand. He initially played for the Cairns Taipans, with 4.3 points and 3 rebounds, and then “moved” to the Hawke’s Bay Hawks, where he performed impressively, with 13 points, 13.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. In fact, he was named the leading rebounder of the National Basketball League of New Zealand for last season, with a record 28 rebounds.
