A few months ago, the Boston Celtics won the 18th championship in their history and the first after 16 years, surpassing in the relevant list the rival awe, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Nevertheless, a few days after this huge success, the Grusberg family, who have owned the shares of the “Celtics” for the past 22 years, put a “sale” on the Boston organization, asking for an amount close to $6 billion!
So according to American publications, the Jeff Bezos, are among the prospective buyers of the NBA champions!
“There’s been some, I think legitimate, talk over the last few days about Jeff Bezos buying the Celtics, and I think it’s true. I think he will be one of the suitors”said the American journalist, Bill Simmons, who specializes in “Celtic” reporting.
The 60-year-old entrepreneur, founder and owner of Amazon, has been interested in buying teams in the past, mainly from the NFL, but nothing has come to fruition. For the record, his fortune is valued close to $195.7 billion!
