“Sometimes words are not enough to convey a story in its entirety and I feel that whatever I write below is impossible to reflect what I lived with you during these nine wonderful years.
I remember like today, the day I signed my first contract with Olympiacos. I had a lot of anxiety and so much anticipation for my new beginning, but how could I have imagined that it was just the beginning of such a big and beautiful chapter of my life.
How could I have imagined that this huge club – synonymous with a passion for victory and a tireless peak hunter, would not only give me incredible successes, but also shape me as a person. That he would teach me to claim, not to be afraid and not to consider anything impossible.
Now that the time has come to close the circle of my sports career, I dare not imagine a more ideal finale. Having conquered everything with Olympiakos and above all the right to consider it my forever family.
The decision to “hang up” my cap is completely conscious and finds me fuller and more complete than ever. That’s why I’m not crying because it’s over. I’m smiling because it happened…
I owe a huge thank you to the President of Amateur Olympiakos, Mr. Michalis Kountouri, for his faith in me, but also for our excellent cooperation. Many thanks to all my coaches, assistant coaches, team manager and our physiotherapist throughout these years. All of them helped me reach where I dreamed.
The biggest thank you from the bottom of my heart goes to my teammates. Together we created lifelong memories and celebrated every title in Greece and Europe! It’s scary what can happen when a team bonds.
