The new player in our team was born in Lagos, Nigeria on January 30, 2000, he is 2.11m tall. and competes in the center position.
He found himself in the United States from a young age and was a member of Virginia Academy and Flint Hill before starting his college career.
Qudus Wahab spent three seasons at storied Georgetown, a program that mostly has a knack for developing players who compete at the center position.
He started with the Hoyas in 2019-2020 and as a freshman averaged 5.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and nearly 1 steal in 32 games, playing just under 15 minutes.
His second season at Georgetown was outstanding. Wahab played in 26 games with nearly 28 minutes of action and finished the year with 12.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.
In the 2021-2022 season he decided to change colleges and chose Maryland. In 32 games and 19 minutes of participation, he averaged 7.7 points and 5.6 rebounds.
The 2022-2023 season found him back at Georgetown. He played in 29 games, 23 of them as a starter and in 23 minutes of participation he averaged 9.6 points and 7.1 rebounds.
His college career ended in the 2023-2024 season at Penn State of the highly competitive Big 10. Wahab played in 33 games, all as a starter, and averaged 9.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in nearly 26 minutes. average while shooting 71% from the free throw line.
