Sisto: “I hope to Mars that I live my good days at Telta”

by

THE Mars tested tomorrow, Saturday (24/08, 20:00), in Serres against Panseraic for the second matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

Speaking to Nova’s camera, Mr Pione Sisto he referred to his long-awaited debut with the “yellows”, to his first impressions of the team, stressing that his goal is to experience great moments like during his time at Telta.

Pione Sisto’s statements in detail:

On his impressions of Aris and the first game of the season: “I didn’t play in the first game, but as I saw the team, my impressions are very positive. As it was from what I saw and experienced in the training sessions and the friendly games in the Netherlands, where I took part. Now I can’t wait to get back and get into the races and help out.”

On whether he is ready to start competing: “I’ve been training hard for the last few days and I’m feeling really good. I also had a relevant discussion with the technical staff about my situation and I hope that I will be completely ready for the next game. This is what I hope and wish for!”

On whether he feels that the point in Peristeri against Atromitos helped his team psychologically, since it is still the beginning of the season and it is looking for its footing: “We wanted to win the first game and make the best possible start to the season. Unfortunately, we only got one point. We, the players, need to start getting along better with each other and this connection should also come out on the playing field. In fact, this must be done as quickly as possible, in order to get good results.”

On how Aris should face the next game, against Panseraikos, to get the three points: “First of all, I expect that this will be a difficult game against Panserraikos. Harder than that against Atromitos. And this, because I believe that the incoming opponent is better tied, especially in defense. From the first game we learned some things about the way we should compete. We have to have good communication between us on the pitch and everything will go well for us, because we have individual quality. We have to follow our tactics in the next match and we will get what we want.”

As for whether he thinks his best football years were spent at Celta and how he feels about having so many Spanish teammates at Aris (ten in number), he beamed with joy and answered with similar style and spirit: “Thanks for the question! The first things I saw before I decided to continue at Aris were the culture, the mentality and the people of the club. So I saw that there are many Spaniards on Mars. I like these people since I was in Spain! I feel the same here. I feel that I have returned to my best football days and I hope to live them again here!”
