Shevchenko: “Putin is a murderer – After Ukraine, which country is next?”

by

In an interview with the Italian newspaper Repubblica, Andrei Shevchenko He described Vladimir Putin as a “murderer” and said he was “concerned” about which country would be targeted by the Russian president after Ukraine.

In detail what he stated:

“We need donations, food and medicine. Since February 24, I have been trying to talk to the world about this, to convey to it what happened. This invasion is absurd. Sport can do a lot, it has an incredible power. I thank Italy for its support.

What is happening is inhuman, we must not stop talking. We need to hear the support of the international community at all times. Terrible things are happening in my country, first the airports were hit, then the military bases.

My mother lives very close to the airport, she called me at 4 in the morning, heard the explosion and her whole house was shaking. I listen to her every 20 minutes just like my sister. My aunt, my mother’s sister, stayed under the Earth for 4 days without coming out. My cousin took her out for a while, took her to my mother.

I tried to bring them here in Italy, but they do not want to leave Kyiv, that is the Ukrainian spirit. People help each other, they are well organized. There is a strong union, we have a strong president.

Putin is a murderer. Now we are in the crosshairs, bordering on Russia. But after us, which country is next? Every morning I wake up and think about what I can do for my country. “I am proud of my people, they are fighting for their freedom, for our lands, for their rights.”
