Igor Milicic was born on January 9, 1976 in Croatia. In his coaching career, he has experienced significant successes, such as:
*Three Polish championships, in 2018 and 2019 as coach of KK Wloclawek and in 2021 as coach of Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski, who finished 10th in the league the previous season.
*Two Polish Cups, in 2020 with KK Wloclawek and in 2022 with Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski.
*Two Super Cups in Poland, one with KK Wloclawek in 2017 (where he was named coach of the year) and one with Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski in 2022.
*A Coppa Italia, in 2024 with Napoli, the first trophy in the history of the Italian team.
*Two major successes with the Polish National Team, which he led to 4th place in Eurobasket 2022 and 6th in Eurobasket 2025.
As an athlete, Igor Milicic competed from 1993 to 2013, having also passed through Greece, in the 2003-04 season, on behalf of Iraklis.
He started his coaching career in 2014 at AZS Koszalin and from 2015 to 2020 he coached KK Wloclawek, with the aforementioned successes.
From 2020 to 2022 he had the fortunes of Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski. In the 2022-23 season he took over the difficult task of Besiktas, who had a record of 2-13. He managed to keep them in the first division with an 8-7 record and in the summer of 2023 he took over Napoli.
The new coach of ARIS Betsson, with the 10th budget in the league, led the Italian team to win the Cup. In the 2024-25 season he left Napoli and now takes over the fortunes of ARIS Betsson.
